PRESCHOOL/ELEMENTARY

Tom Thumb Preschool...makes learning fun for ages 3 through young 5's at Franklin and Forest View Elementary Schools.

Parenting/School Readiness Programs...prepare students for the transition into kindergarten.

CAPS neighborhood Elementary Schools...a nurturing atmosphere focused on social and academic development.

COOL School (Calendar of Optimal Learning)...gives children the choice to attend school year-round.

CAPS Busses...provide safe transportation for students.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (6-7)

Mackinaw Trail Middle School (MTMS)...eases the transition from elementary to secondary learning in a student-centered environment, where developmental readiness ensures that each child succeeds at their own pace.

Team Teaching and Subject Integration...MTMS students are exposed to Art, Technology, Living Skills, Foreign Language, Strings and Vocal Music. This exposure serves to enhance the four core subjects: Math, Science, Language Arts and Social Studies.

Our Students...enjoy the structure of an upper elementary in a middle school environment with a team of teachers and innovative instruction, which prepares students for their academic and vocational future.

Extracurricular Programs...include the MTMS Ski Club, Book Club, Chess Club, and intramural sports.

JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL (8-9)

Cadillac Junior High School (CJH)...focuses on individual academic success and vocational development. Specialized electives expand student choices, thus enhancing high school preparedness.

Career Awareness...business partners, community members and staff work together to educate our students in the area of career development and current global trends.

Distinctive Programs...CJH students enjoy a variety of interesting academic and extracurricular choices, from Honors English and Choir to Ski and Jazz Clubs.

SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL(10-12)

Cadillac High School...prepares students for college and careers through courses such as Graphic Arts, Global Studies, Honors/Advanced Placement, Technology, Art/Science and Writing Fairs, and the Wexford-Missaukee Career Technical Center.

Distinctive Programs...CHS students enjoy Jazz Ensemble, Honors Choir, Dual Enrollment, Band, Drama Club, Debate and Forensics.

CAPS Athletic Programs...offer over 20 sports for grades 7-12.

Cooley Alternative School...provides an educational alternative for students in a smaller, individualized program.

Higher Education...70% of CHS students go on to higher education, and approximately $500,000 in scholarships is awarded annually.
