Birch Run HS
2nd Sweepstakes Medium Size Team -- 22 teams in attendance (L.C. took 3rd)
1st in Multiple, NUNSENSE, Emma Bizzigotti, Taylor Champion, Christina Rann, Molly Stuber & Ashley Scheurer
3rd Storytelling Spike Belstra
3rd Prose, Hadassha Ackles
5th Duo, Katie Wright/Mike King
6th in Poetry Luke Bonczyk
Amy Funck, Amanda Goodman & Alsia Ortiz all advanced to Semi Finals. First time duo team of Stephanie Adams/Emily Gussert are on the "edge of greatness!" Kayla Sandell was second entry for storytelling. "IT WAS A VERY GOOD DAY FOR THE VIKING FORENSIC TEAM!" said Coach Whitmer.

 Beaverton HS
Sweepstakes: 30 Schools, Cadillac 6th Place in large team. CAPS was the smallest entry of large teams.
Individual Results: 1st in multiple: NUNSENSE, 2nd in 9/10 Storytelling: Spike Belstra, 4th in Prose: Hadassah Ackles & 4th in Poetry: Luke Bonczyk
Semi Finals: Alisa Ortiz in Broadcasting, Chelsea Lagola in D.I., Stephanie Adams/ Emily Gussert in Duo & Kayla Sandell in Storytelling.
Amanda Goodman just missed Semis by 3% points. Amy Funck missed finals (no semi in this event) by 6% pts. Erica Linemuth, poetry and Jake Fauble, prose this was there is time competing. (They are now veterans of the sport!)

CADILLAC TAKES 4th at Frankenmuth -- 2/23/08 Medium Size Team Sweepstakes (Smallest team in medium size 56 teams in attendance)
DUO: 3rd Place Mike King/ Katie Wright
Multiple: 5th Place NUNSENSE: Taylor Champion(9th), Emma Bizzigotti (9th), Christina Rann, Ashley Scheurer & Molly Stuber
Poetry: Luke Bonczyk made it to semis beating 30 students in this event.
9/10 Storytelling: Spike Belstra just missed semis by 15pt. Beatinf 20 students in his event.
Prose: Hadassah Ackles missed semis by 1%pts. And beat 26 students in prose.

  CADILLAC TAKES 4Th PLACE LARGE SCHOOL 18 schools. (We are the smallest of the large teams & some teams had TWICE as many EVENTS!!!)

D.I.: Chelsea Lagola makes it to semis. Amanda Goodman and Erica Linmtemuth both just missed semis by 2 or % points. We were down by three forensic events and look forward to the all members attending Gaylord March 15th and Districts (at Lake City) on 18th. The Forensic Vikings continue to improve and perform.

Wow! What a night. Out of 14 forensic events.....10 events will move on to Regionals. The individual results:

"What a talented, fun, nice group of youg people to be able to spend time with!" Regionals are April 18, 2008 in Lake City. The Cadillac Forensic team will now focus on "live" performance around the community.

HOW MANY CADILLAC FORENSIC TEAM EVENTS GET TO GO TO STATE? THIS IS IT.... THE BIG ONE! CAPS FORENSIC TEAM has 9 OUT 10 EVENTS (and one will be at large bid) going May 2 & 3 to MIFA STATE COMPETITION at EMU.
