This year classes will be learning about nonfiction reading! Each class will learn about a category of nonfiction books then teach the school with their library displays. Check back each month to see what's on display in our library!
September:
Mrs. Putman's 3rd/4th grade - Geography
Mrs. Putman's class painted a large mural with a world map. Students reviewed the geography section in our library and chose books to display with their map.
Mrs. Caroffino's 2nd grade class performed a Western Line Dance at our monthly AR assembly!
October Mrs. Dickson - Kindergarten - Poetry and Jokes
Mrs. Dickson's Kindergarten students learned about word choice as they read poetry, riddles, and jokes. They displayed their work on pumpkins in the library windows.
November Mrs. Hoekwater's 4th Grade - Government -
Mrs. Hoekwater's 4th grade students found the government section in the library and chose books to display with their paper chain flag. They also wrote essays to express their feelings about Veteran's Day and displayed their writing in the library.
